On the 20th of October 2025, the Association Internationale Aphasie (AIA) held its first International Aphasia Day!

Aphasia affects millions of people around the world – but most people in the community have never heard of aphasia and don’t know what it means.
This date – October 20th – will be an annual day to raise awareness and understanding of aphasia, and to support and celebrate the vibrant global aphasia community.
